On the road again

Just got my Defender repaired. And my broken leg, finally. Hope the metal in it won’t trigger on every space port scan now, hate to be delayed every time I land. That might turn me into a smuggler.

Jokes aside, I’d been on the sidelines for too long, had to stretch my space legs once more and this time head out to Microtech for a special delivery. This promised to be a very lucrative enterprise and I could establish some new contacts there. Plus I heard that the ramen in Port Tressler was out of this world. Which it was, being a space port and all.

After the long trip (God that Banu tech quantum effect is mesmerising), headed out on short notice to New Babbage and met with Derek to pass the package.

He’d left his Caterpillar at home this time, opting for a Freelancer. As usual, he would drop off the package to someone in Microtech HQ, introduce me to some people and pick up another one. You see, the latest technologies out of this startup world still had to travel the old fashioned way, there is no “teleportation” device like in the old Sci-Fi shows, so the fastest way to deliver data was still by carrier pigeons. Meaning us, the transporters.

Hope I have some time later to fiddle around and do some sightseeing, maybe buy a few gadgets.
